HELLO BEAUTIFUL TEAM!
OH.MY.GOSH.  I am so excited for 2019.
I just learned THE BEST SPONSORING IDEA in a looooooooong time!
I got it from the #1 sponsorer in Origami Owl (Q4 2018)
and I'm here to spill the beans to you!
If you have customers who {LOVE} a good deal, then you've gotta tell them about THIS!  They can turn $49 in Jewelry into $149 in jewelry (and even up to $200) when they join Origami Owl.
I am always asking the most successful people, "What are you doing?"
This time, the #1 personal sponsorer in ALL OF O2, Michele Kehnert, told me how she is finding success.  It's the $49 KIT!  Because everyone loves a good deal!
Here's a comment from our team post on what she's doing:
Then, while we were at LEAD conference last week, superstar trainer, Abby Teet talked about using the $49 kit to sponsor, and so did long-time Designer Carla New--who shared how she used the $49 kit to build her team and reach a brand new rank advancement!
I'd say....that's a lot of pretty smart people who think the $49 kit is a suppahhsmaht tool.
And in this video, you can see how to use it for your customers too!
XOXO,
Beth

Origami Owl Events - Boost Your Sales!

I am constantly trying new things with my events and Jewelry Bars to boost sales and to help customers have a positive experience.  In the last few weeks, we have tried TWO NEW THINGS that really seem to be helping to get more people at the table!
The first thing is with regard to pricing.  I know that even though I am fortunate enough that I can probably afford anything I want to buy at a craft fair, I do NOT like to ask the price of anything.  I don't know WHY that is, but of about 8 ladies who were working with us at an event last month, we all agreed that we'd rather WALK AWAY than ASK THE PRICING.  So!  We have been making "demo" lockets for the busts (and having LOTS of them on display) so people can see all the different things you can do with our products. AND!!! We are putting the PRICES on them.  This does ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING. It gives people an INSTANT idea whether Origami Owl is in their budget (yes, have a variety of prices on display). Many people are surprised to find we are really affordable!
ALSO! We found that at a HUGE event we had in Tacoma, as well as a small event my mom and I did in Carefree, Arizona, we put out the "roundie rack" (as I call it) with the classic silver lockets and the least expensive chain you have in your inventory (I still have the ball station chains which are $8, so I used those). We called it, "Starter Lockets" and put a card at the top that showed the prices were "$28 - $36 for a locket, chain, jewelry pouch and take out box. Charms $5.00 each. WHILE SUPPLIES LAST"
It was AMAZING how many people came to our tables and realized they could afford this gift for someone because we had ELIMINATED the overwhelming feeling of not knowing what to choose, SIMPLIFIED THE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE and gave them THE BASICS.  **NOTE:  at the big event where we had a big booth, we positioned the rack at the ENTRY to the booth (In the photo it's at the back and no one could see it, so we moved it to DRAW people into the booth), so it was a great conversation starter for our "greeter".  "Have you seen Origami Owl before?"  "Our prices start at just $20 for THIS [show and tell] medium silver locket, the chain is $8 and charms are $5.00 each.  You can make a beautiful custom gift for someone for about $45."  TAH-DAH!**
(Yes, we DID IRON the tablecloths before the show--this was the day before, at set-up!)
I was going through the sales slips yesterday and it was INCREDIBLE to see how many of those "sets" we sold. I know we pulled a lot of people into the booth with that basic pricing...and I am suggesting you try it too!
XOXO,
Beth

WHAT'S YOUR ANGLE? (The KEY to getting into events!)

WHAT'S YOUR ANGLE?

Just wanted to share a personal experience with everyone today. One that will CHANGE your game!

Sierra and I decided, as part of our vacation in Illinois, we were going to "share the O2 love" by doing a craft fair. We know that there are many parts of the midwest that are largely untapped when it comes to Origami Owl--but those who are doing it, are doing well. (There is PLENTY of room for growth.)

We chose a festival in an upper middle class suburb of Chicago where it was truly--crafts. (Not a bunch of DS companies.) When I went to the organizer to ask to get into the event, I did NOT talk all about the amazing Bella and being a $250 million company. Why, you ask? Because the number one rule of just about everything in this business is about *knowing your audience*.

When you sell to a customer--know your audience so you understand what THEY want. When you are at an event--understand WHY that person is standing there (is she looking at the jewelry, is it the third time she has come by to see how busy you are). Maybe she is your next rock star designer.

With the craft show, I knew that they wouldn't care about national magazines noticing us--because that's not THEIR audience. Their focus is having heart-felt, craft items. So when I sent my email asking to be part of the event, I made sure the focus was on our "craft-ability" (my new word), on how it's about storytelling--your life in a locket, and how we see so many women who "bless" other women by making these precious keepsakes that make them feel so special.

I know it's JULY...but you should be thinking about (and finding and booking) your HOLIDAY EVENTS *NOW*!!!

And the moral of the story is, take the time to CRAFT your letters and emails so they are written to the right AUDIENCE.

Good luck!
XOXO

NOBODY WANTS TO BOOK A JEWELRY BAR. {Whaaaaaa????}

{This was posted on another leader's page and I wanted to share!!}

What’s the number one question we get as a leader or mentor? Mine is, “Nobody wants to book with me. Why not?” I will say that I have the same question myself sometimes, but I quickly kick that thought out of my head. There are so many external forces that we cannot control that cause people to not want to book parties, but there are also some things we can control.
Here are some reasons why people may not be booking with you and some solutions
to help you out!

Problem: Our mindset
Solution: Start thinking positively! I know it’s hard when every single person you ask says no, but turn your negative thoughts into positive ones! Start by making up a mantra for yourself to repeat in your head over and over until it starts happening! For example, you can use “My booking calendar is full”, “Everybody wants to book parties with me”, or “I am a booking machine”! I know this sounds silly, but believe me, I’ve tried it and it works! Positive thoughts breed positive results!

Problem: Our belief in our companies
Solution: You may think this one isn’t all that important, but it’s the one thing that drives your business! If you don’t have a full belief in your company, it shows to your customers and they won’t want to do business with you. This is one thing that has worked for me. I have a passion for and total trust in my company and it shows to my customers and team. People do not want to book with those who are iffy with their business and how their company runs things. So if you are still in a funk for your business, then fake it! Once you get moving with your business, you beliefs start to change, and in turn, you business takes a positive turn.

Problem: We aren’t asking them
Solution: I know, sounds so simple right? Then why aren’t we doing it?! When you already have a party, are you asking each and every single person there if they want to get some friends together for a little shopping and girl time? If not, start now. Don’t single anyone out thinking they won’t book a party. Make it a point to ask everyone. Also, we all have so many friends and acquaintances on Facebook, so use them! It doesn’t hurt to ask your friends and family for help to support your business! Ask past hostesses to re-book a party for your new catalog, people love new stuff!

Problem: We are ashamed we do direct sales
Solution: I have heard this so many times! Direct sales has a bitter taste in some people’s mouths because it sounds like a scam or it almost embarrasses us to admit we sell for a direct sales company. The bottom line is….this is YOUR own business. If you built your own business from scratch, would you be embarrassed or ashamed of it? No! You would be proud to tell people about it, because its something you’ve done by yourself and for yourself. Same goes for your direct sales business. Be proud of what you do and who you are! Some of you are making more money than others doing a part time job, so why be ashamed of that! It’s time for us to change the stigma of direct sales!

Problem: We aren’t following up
Solution: We’ve called our leads and left voice mails or emails. Awesome! That’s the first step, but it’s not the last. Follow up is a continuous process as you never know when you might get that booking! It might be a year from your first call, but hey, it’s worth it! So when you make that first call and have to leave a voice mail, let your customer know that you will follow up with them in a couple of weeks if you haven’t heard back. By doing this, they are expecting you to call back. If they don’t want you calling them back, they will either call, text, or email you to let you know they aren’t interested and that’s okay! For every no you get, you are closer to a yes! You have to keep following up. Call past customers to see how they are liking their products, check to see if they need anything else, you never know when you may get a booking from one of those calls!
